EXTRAIT
Oxford, 1583. A local woman is found murdered not far from the city walls. At the same time, a seller of herbal remedies is accused of sorcery and faces execution. The two dramas do not seem to be connected, until the young lady Maude Mansfield and her friend Harry Hopetoun begin to investigate...In this sequel to the charming The Fortunes of John de Courcy, all the characters return for a new, equally enjoyable adventure.
This is the unabridged original english translation (with all the comments and annotations) made by Sir Richard Francis Burton and first published in 1883.
The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian Hindu text widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behavior in Sanskrit literature written by Vatsyayana. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse. It is largely in prose, with many inserted poetry verses. "Kama" which is one of the three goals of Hindu life, means sensual or sexual pleasure, and "sutra" literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more metaphorically refers to an aphorism (or line, rule, formula), or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual. Contrary to popular perception, especially in the western world, Kama sutra is not just an exclusive sex manual; it presents itself as a guide to a virtuous and gracious living that discusses the nature of love, family life and other aspects pertaining to pleasure oriented faculties of human life.

Ten very different stories with one thing in common: each presents a fascinating mystery!

A young student is going to undergo an obnoxious blackmail on behalf of a man, a bookseller, who is going to abuse her shamelessly to satisfy his fantasies.
A fascinating, methodical investigation into a little-known tragedy shows that truth can prevail even 180 years after the fact.In this "whodunit," James Jackson is a one-man investigative commission. He meticulously demonstrates how British soldiers shot three innocent bystanders in Old Montreal following a by-election victory of Irish-born Daniel Tracey over Loyalist Stanley Bagg in 1832. He also shows how the political, military, and legal authorities of the time exonerated those responsible for the killings by falsely accusing the supporters of Daniel Tracey, a Patriote Party candidate, of rioting. Jackson shows that the "riot" simply never happened, but also that history has unfortunately retained the official story of events that help explain the Patriote revolt of 1837-1838. Although the names of those shot that day, Francois Languedoc, Pierre Billet, and Casimir Chauvin, have been forgotten, their story deserves to be known. Jackson combines the rigour and moral indignation of Émile Zola with the writing talent and historical perspective of Pierre Berton.

The Romance of Lust, or Early Experiences is a Victorian erotic novel published anonymously in four volumes during the years 1873-1876 by William Lazenby. The novel is told in first person, and the protagonist of the novel is Charlie Roberts. Charlie possesses a large penis, much virility, and a seemingly insatiable sexual appetite. Charlie describes his sexual initiation as an adolescent - as he is "approaching fifteen". He catalogs his sexual experiences including incest with his sisters Eliza and Mary, sex with his governesses, and his later sexual exploits with various male and female friends, and acquaintances. Besides incest, the book deals with a variety of sexual activities, including orgies, masturbation, lesbianism, flagellation, fellatio, cunnilingus, gay sex, anal sex, and double penetration. Taboo subjects such as homosexuality, incest, and pedophilia are common themes in the novel.
My Secret Life, by "Walter", is the memoir of a Victorian gentleman's sexual development and experiences. It was first published in a private edition, which appeared over seven years beginning around 1888. In spite of "Walter's" obsessive womanising over a period of several decades, only a few of his partners are of his own social class. The great majority are either prostitutes, servants or working class women. The frank discussion of sexual matters and other hidden aspects of Victorian life make this book a rare and valuable social document. It has been described as "one of the strangest and most obsessive books ever written".

Victor dear,
I have a project that you won't be able to turn down. Last week, Richard Dowling had the nerve to take me aside after a tedious financial meeting to ask if I had a "little desk job" his son could fill for a couple of months to "break him in."
Jamie is a charming young thing (if you go for the barely pubescent virginal type). Get here right away, sweep the little baby off his feet, fuck his brains out till he begs for more.
When you get a glimpse of Jamie Dowling, you'll see this is no dreary chore I'm assigning you. And as if that weren't enticement enough, you can always count on the night of hot sex I'll serve you upon completion of your little PR assignment.
xoxo
Terry
