Michael Mcdowell

.Né en Alabama, Michael McDowell est l'auteur de romans de terreur gothiques souvent situés dans le sud des États-Unis (la série culte Blackwater, publiée en France aux éditions Monsieur Toussaint Louverture, Cold Moon over Babylon.).
Il a été le scénariste de Tim Burton pour Beetlejuice et L'étrange Noël de Mr Jack.
Après sa mort en 1999, son compagnon transmit à Tabitha King ses dernières volontés : que l'histoire inachevée de Calliope, spin-off de l'univers du cycle Blackwater, puisse exister.
